Der Frühling kommt langsam – und mit ihm die Veränderungen…

Spring is slowly coming – and with it there will be changes…

Lange gab es keine Neuerung auf meiner Fotoseite fotoswithheart – doch dies ändert sich in den kommenden Tagen.

Long time there were no news on my site for photography – fotoswithheart – but this is going to change in the following days.

Neuerungen werfen ihre Schatten voraus – und ich hoffe, sie werden euch gefallen.

Es wird eine Layoutänderung geben. There will be a major layout change.

Kleine Info nebenbei: derzeit arbeite ich in Kooperation mit dem Floristikgeschäft „Fleuroom“ in Leipzig zusammen. Auch dort werden einige meiner Arbeiten ausgestellt und können von dort aus in ein neues Zuhause mitgenommen werden!

Short info: right now I am working with the flower-shop „Fleuroom“ in Leipzig. There will also be some of my works on display – and you can stop by and take them home with you!

~ Ein neues Buch und wechselnde Inneneinrichtung ~

Heute war der Tag der Pakete – zumindest kam es mir so vor.

Kurz vor 11 Uhr klingelte es zum ersten Mal: der nette Bote brachte ein größeres Paket, welches ich sofort voller Freude öffnete.

Today was the day of parcels – or at least I felt this way.

Shortly before 11 o’clock the bell rang for the first time: the carrier brought a slightly bigger packet which I was opening enthusiastically.

Zum Vorschein kam eine meiner Fotografien (zu sehen übrigens auf den Seiten von fotoswithheart) – gespannt auf 40 x 60 cm Leinwand, die sich dann wunderbar in unser Wohnzimmer einfügte.

Dieser Blickfang verschönert nun unsere Wand und wirkt auch neben „artfremden“ gerahmten Bildern nicht fehl am Platz.

What came to view was a photography of mine (more can be seen at the sites of fotoswithheart) – strained on 40 x 60 cm canvas which fitted perfectly into our living room.

This eye-catcher is doing good things for our wall and although there are some „different“ framed pictures next to it – it surely fits in.

 

Als nächstes klingelte es wenige Minuten später.

Diesmal war es der „normale“ Postbote mit einer Bücherlieferung: nun befindet sich auch Lily King’s Roman „Euphoria“ in meiner Obhut und wird als nächstes gelesen.

The next ring brought a „normal“ postal carrier with a book delivery. Right now there is Lily King’s novel „Euphoria“ settling in its new home and will be read in a short while.

Natürlich findet ihr dann auch hier die dazugehörige Buchbesprechung.

~ Ein Besuch auf Burg Gnandstein / A visit to castle Gnandstein ~

Letzten Sonntag war das Wetter sehr ausflugstauglich und so machten wir uns auf den Weg nach Kohren-Sahlis.

Dort besuchten wir die Burg Gnandstein. Diese Wehranlage ist die am besten erhaltene aus romanischer Zeit in Sachsen.

Last sunday the weather was really good for a day out and so we headed to Kohren-Sahlis.

There we visited the castle Gnandstein. It’s the best preserved weir system of the romanic times in saxony.

Bei schönem Wetter lohnte sich der Aufstieg auf den 33m hohen Bergfried und die damit verbunde Aussicht auf das Umland.

With the wonderful weather the time was good for taking the steps up the castle keep and enjoy the view from above.

Bei jedem Schritt knarzen die Holztreppen…

Sehr interessant eingerichtete Innenräume laden zum genaueren Anschauen und Verweilen ein – ebenso wie die Kapelle, in der man sich auch in heutiger Zeit trauen lassen kann.

Really interesting rooms have something for everyone to offer as well as the Palas where you can get married.

Wir kamen auch gerade recht für ein schönes und leckeres Mittagessen innerhalb des Burggeländes.

We were also in time for a wonderful lunch inside the castle territory.

Auch der Eintritt ist nicht zu teuer – und Geburtstagskinder haben freien Eintritt, so dass man sich ruhig mal einen Tag Auszeit nehmen und diese schöne Gegend erkunden kann. Verschiedene Ausstellungen und sonstige Veranstaltungen sind etwas für die ganze Familie. Informationen darüber und über die Burg allgemein gibt es hier.

Not to mention that it’s not that expensive to get inside – and every birthday child has free entry – so you can definitely have a day out and go to this wonderful scenery.

Passend zum gerade erst gestarteten vierten Film rund um die Dinosaurier des Jurassic Parks habe ich heute wieder neue Bilder auf meinem Fotoblog hochgeladen…
