~ Besuch im Tiergarten Eisenberg / A visit to the Zoo Eisenberg ~

Auch letztens war ich wieder auf Tour – im Tiergarten Eisenberg.

Again I was on tour – to the zoo of Eisenberg.

This small and lovely zoo has a lot to offer, from interesting animals – like the fox-mongoose and a lot of places to take a seat. Also there is a small shop where you can buy your food-treats.

Der kleine und sehr übersichtliche Tiergarten bietet schöne Einblicke, interessante Tiere – wie zum Beispiel die Fuchsmangusten – und Sitzmöglichkeiten zum Verweilen. Auch der Kiosk wartet mit kleinen und feinen Leckereien auf Besucher.

Viele Gehege sind begehbar und auch Tiere wie die Damwilddamen freuen sich über eine kleine Streicheleinheit.

Highlights aus meiner Sicht: die Fuchsmangusten, das große Erdmännchengehege, die Australienvoliere, die Nachttiere… und einiges mehr…

Many enclosures are there for you to walk in and some animals – just like the fallow dear are happy if you visit them and pet them carefully – and feed them as well.

Highlights from my pov: the fox mongoose, the meerkats, the birds at the enclosure for Australia, the night-active animals… and much more…

Hinweis an alle, die sich auf den Weg dorthin machen möchten:

Small tip for everyone wanting to go there:

Please don’t always follow your Navi – it depends on from where you enter the city. (If the Navi wants you to follow a street named „Trebe“ – don’t follow)

It’s best you drive to the local roundabout and then go the direction of Gera (even though it says that the road is closed) and then you just follow the signs.

Or better: just ask the lovely and helpful people of Eisenberg, who also helped us finding our way.

Nicht unbedingt auf das Navi hören, d.h. es kommt bestimmt darauf an, aus welcher Richtung man nach Eisenberg hineinfährt. (Falls das Navi „Trebe“ anzeigt – bitte nicht folgen!)

Ihr fahrt im städtischen Kreisverkehr in Richtung Gera (auch wenn da steht, dass die Strecke gesperrt wäre) und dann ist es auch ausgeschildert.

Oder: ihr fragt die netten und freundlichen Bewohner von Eisenberg, die auch uns gut weitergeholfen haben.
